The perfect day. It was amazing the celebrate Craig & David's wedding with them and their guests. Set at Hazlewood Castle, Yorkshire. The Hazlewood Castle wedding photography is always high quality. An amazing venue set to host a wonderful group of family and friends. The couple were a pleasure to work with from start to finish and I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of their day.
I started the day with the couple taking some shots of them getting ready, before they headed off to the local airfield to come back in a helicopter surprising the guests. While the couple were away I made sure to capture as many memories of the guests as possible to start the day.
The ceremony took place outside of Hazlewood Castle offering plenty of natural light and opportunity to move around the couple. The wedding photography highlighted the special moments of the day while continuing to capture memories. A large dance floor was set up for the cutting of the cake and the first dance, and I used a mixture of off and on camera flash to illuminate the couple through this. With so many guests in attendance at Hazlewood Castle I was never short of emotional moments.
It was a special day with a mixture of dynamics from a quiet walk in the grounds with Craig & David, to racing around the inflatable obstacle course in the evening. The day at Hazlewood Castle was full of surprises and I loved capturing every moment through the wedding photography. We used some smoke flares on the walk to add a different dynamic to the photos from the usual. As well as using the driveway and the woods to offer extra intimacy through the photos.
The main hall at Hazlewood Castle set the stage for the meal and speeches and offered a fantastic back drop for this part of the day. Below you can see our wedding photography from the day.
