Jen & Andy had their special day at Heskin Hall. The wedding venue in Lancashire is a great space for wedding photography both inside and out. The front lawn is overshadowed by a large red facade that makes for a great space for both couple and group shots. We used some smoke flares on the front lawn later in the day to add a different layer to the wedding photography and add something slightly different to the album.
I started the day with the bridal party in the brides family home nearby. Here we got some group shots with the VW camper van that they were travelling to the venue in, as well as shots of them getting ready. It was a relaxed morning before heading to Heskin Hall for the ceremony and taking pictures of guests arriving.
The ceremony was brief with a small number of guests. Though the room is dark it makes for some great wedding photography though the ceremony from both in front and behind the couple. They then signed the register before heading to the lawn for drinks and canapes. There is both a large front lawn and a small back garden that can be used through the wedding photography.
We went for a short drive with the couple in the VW camper to capture some shots in a slightly different setting to complete the album. The wedding photography shows a different dynamic through the day capturing the emotions of the guests right up until the first dance. As the ceremony was later, I only arrived early afternoon making it slightly more than a half day shoot. Depsite this we still managed to capture a full set of memories through the wedding photography at Heskin Hall.
The bride shared a first dance with her father as well as the groom. I then captured some shots of the guests dancing and enjoying their evening before leaving the party.
