Katie & Joe had their wedding day at Gildings Barn in Dorking. The Wedding Photography was a full day of capturing the special moments as well as some of the fun. Having been lucky enough to be friends with Katie & Joe for a long time, I wanted to make sure I captured the special moments throughout the day and encapsulate just how much fun the couple are.
There are three main structures at Gildings; the main Gildings Barn, the Threshing Barn and the Side Barn. These beautiful oak-framed structures reveal themselves in intriguing stages, eventually leading out to the expansive lawn, which makes for a perfect setting for wedding photography.
Gildings Barn can seat up to 110 guests, which made for a vibrant mix of people all having a great time. I arrived early in the morning to make sure I was ready to capture every memory from start to finish through the wedding photography. Then I joined the bridal party on their way to Gildings Barn for the rest of the day.
We went for a short walk in the grounds of Gildings Barn so that the couple could have some peace and quiet as well as see some of the more traditional wedding photography shots. These were set in some beautiful spaces making the most of the exposed timber structures. As the weather was playing along, we took all of the group shots outside of Gildings Barn on the lawn.
The couple had activities laid out on the lawn at Gildings Barn with the guests able to take part in mini golf and tug of war. This proved a lot of fun and set the day up well to move onto the party where the wedding photography ended once I'd got photos of the dancing.
A beautiful three course meal was laid out for the guests and the speeches had everyone showing the full range of emotions. The wedding was a great success from start to finish and the couple clearly enjoyed a special day with the people closest to them. I hope you enjoy the wedding photography from the day at Gildings Barn.
